LIP BLUSHING
Achieve those perfectly kissable lips all day everyday without the hassle of lips stains with Lip Blushing! Lip Blushing is a semi-permanent tattoo used to create definition, enhance shape, boost color and even out the tone of the lips. It can create the illusion of fuller lips by depositing color in areas that may be less pigmented naturally or lost pigment as a result of fillers and/or aging.
FAQ’S
What is Lip Blushing?
Lip blushing is a type of semipermanent cosmetic tattooing procedure achieved by depositing pigments in your lips using small needles. This procedure does not replace the lipstick look, it simply adds a natural tint to the lips.
How long does it last?
It is different for every client but generally 2 years! Color retention depends on skin type, age, aftercare, sun exposure, use of certain products, pigments used, the immune system, medications, and other factors. Touch ups are recommended once every 1-2 years to prevent natural fading.
How long is the healing process?
It takes approximately 14 days for the lips to heal, and about 6-8 weeks for the color to fully bloom. The lips will swell and be bigger than expected for the first few days. This will gradually go down during the complete healing process and they will lighten 50 - 70% before your 2nd session. The color will look really vibrant the day of and after the appointment. Around day two-three, the lips will softly flake away, and the following day they appear almost entirely healed. This soft technique we use ensures the lips will heal quickly and with minimal discomfort and downtime!
Does lip blushing hurt?
Pain levels vary from person to person, a strong medical grade topical anesthetic cream is used before and during your procedure to keep you as pain free as possible. Lips are very sensitive so you will feel slight discomfort. If you are on your period you will feel slightly more discomfort.
How many sessions will I need?
Lips generally need 2 sessions to go over any spottiness. With most procedures, the color looks dramatically lighter after the first week. Some clients prefer this, while others opt for a bolder look. At the second session, we will assess the color retention and make adjustments as necessary. Everyone heals differently and at different rates. If your lips do not heal perfectly the first time, don't worry! We can always go darker and add more density at your next appointment.
